Since 1913
A Belgian house, at home in Britain
One hundred and thirteen years of one idea: make chocolate properly, and sell it while it is still fresh.

1913
Brussels, a confectioner and a copper pot
Leonidas Kestekides came to Belgium for a world fair and stayed for a country. He opened a small salon, made pralines by hand, and sold them the same day they were made. The habit stuck.

1935
The window that changed the trade
A marble counter opening directly onto the street let people buy one piece or twenty, without ceremony. Luxury chocolate stopped being something behind glass.
